Silver shampoo is absolutely essential for me, and I cannot live without it!!!

Ever since I first had my hair bleached and a balayage technique done, I have used silver shampoo, and it makes such a huge difference to the tone of my hair! I personally like my hair to have a very ashy look, and it turns out that it’s hard to keep up, bleached hair can become pretty brassy pretty quickly, and that’s really something I try to avoid!

After speaking with the stylists at Regis I was really excited to try the DesignLine shampoo, so I was over the moon when they let me try it out!

Both the shampoo and conditioner are a rich bluey-purple, and quite a thick substance, so it does actually feel like you are washing you hair as well as the toning effect, it lathers really well, others I have tried do not always do this and I end up washing my hair with normal shampoo first, but there’s no need with this one!

I have been leaving the shampoo in my hair for approximately 10 minutes each time I have washed my hair, and I have been fairly happy with the results! I personally have found that it perhaps doesn’t brighten the hair as much as others have, but it does take the brassiness out, and it does bring out the cooler tones! This is a before and after photo after a wash! The lighting is a little off in the first one, my apologies, but you can see how the brassiness has become muted and the colour is far smoother and richer!

It isn’t ridiculously expensive, the shampoo is £9.49 and the conditioner is £9.99, and it should last quite a long time as I haven’t been using it every wash to make sure the condition of my hair stays good, toning products can be quite drying if you use them too often!

It leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth, and in good condition, and it smells like the salon which always makes you feel a little more pampered 🙂
