This month has been CRAZY, so I apologise that my blog is really taking a backseat at the moment, but here is a late September favourites!!

Oribe Après Beach Wave & Shine Spray

So this came in my first ever Birchbox, and oh my gosh it has changed my life. I have really awkward hair nowadays, it used to be really really really curly and i wouldn’t have to do anything at all, but all of a sudden it is somewhere in between straight and wavy so I always feel like each day I have to either straighten it or curl it, but not anymore. The fact it’s an aerosol can means that it actually shapes your hair as you apply it and gives it so much more volume, and it doesn’t make your hair feel crusty and tangled like salt sprays do. It instantly gives your hair beach waves and it has meant getting up 5 minutes later is not the end of the world, it’s expensive, but worth it.

Topshop Boyfriend Trousers

I always wear skinny jeans or leggings, I have pretty chunky legs and I can struggle to get trousers to actually fit properly, but these are perfect and I’ve been living in them! They are loose enough to not cling anywhere you don’t want them but still give you a bum, and are soon comfy, they have now bought out different colours but these are currently the only petite ones, I’m hoping more come soon.

LVL Lashes

So I’d been considering LVL or lash extensions for ages, and I finally decided to give LVL a go. I have really short and straight eyelashes and they just desperately needed something, but I was conscious of the fact that extensions slowly fall out, and I didn’t want to end up looking lopsided and I didn’t want them to then pull my own lashes out too, so I booked in. The patch test process has quite a lot involved (see picture) so I’d advise you to get someone to help if possible. LVL is a series of treatments to your own lashes, no fake/extensions involved, and I really love the results, they look so much longer and more noticeable but completely natural, only catch is that IT HURTS. I wish someone had told me this because i spent the majority of the hour to takes to complete them convincing myself I was never going to be able to see again my eyes stung so badly, but after an hour of pain I can assure you that you will be able to see, the sting wears off pretty quickly, and your lashes will look amazing, the longer your lashes are naturally the better the results too, mine probably just look normal, but for me this is a huge improvement! I had this done about 4 weeks ago and they’re still looking good so it does last, but I am still debating if I can go through it again, I’m tempted to get it done again once I can’t see the results any more!!!

Jumper Season

Is there anything more exciting than jumper season?? It means autumn is here, and so is autumn dressing, which makes me very happy. Autumn colours are the best by far, you can layer up and get toasty, suddenly anywhere with trees becomes a great instagram background, put on a few pounds? No one will notice, it’s jumper season, its the dream.

Arrow Lip Balm

This was another Birchbox discovery, and so good for when you’re having a no make up day! It’s weird, it looks just like any other lip balm in the tube, it’s a kind of a standard beige-y cream clear colour, but when you put it on it adjusts to the pH of your skin and changes to a colour that should harmonise with your natural skin tone! I find that it looks weird to wear stuff on my lips if I don’t have a full face of makeup on, but this actually doesn’t look too bad, it’s quite a pink colour on me which I was surprised about, but it does brighten your face up nicely and is quite cool!
