Hello!

Happy 2017!!

It’s January 1st, and it’s time to put plans into action; for me, this means trying to rectify the very unhealthy lifestyle I’ve had the past two weeks, but everyone slacks over christmas, and it just takes a few weeks of being stricter on yourself to get you back on track and back to where you were before the festive period.

SO I have been considering whether to do this post for months, and I’m slightly terrified because this photo is from a time when I was very very unhappy with my body, and it made me feel very unhappy about myself in general, so please be kind. I am also not looking my best right now, two weeks of no training and appalling eating habits take their toll, I have a nice layer of christmas fluff on me which I’m praying is going to shift pretty quickly, BUT I have never been happier and the message here is if you’re unhappy, you can change that, you CAN do it if you want to!

2-year-transformation

There are exactly two years between these two photos, January 1st 2015, where I weighed 144lb, the heaviest I have ever been, and today, January 1st 2017, where I weighed in this morning at 119lb by some kind of miracle. I’ve been floating between 118-120 for the past 3-4 weeks now so I’m amazed christmas hasn’t had a disastrous effect, a small loss of muscle and gain of fat seems to be the worst of it. I would by lying if I said I wasn’t proud of myself, 119lb has been my ultimate weight goal for the past two years, and I did it, and although I am not as focussed on my weight as I was, it’s still a really great feeling.

I don’t do excessive amounts of cardio, I do very very little, I have cheat days, I don’t live off salads, I lift weights and I get my protein in, I eat carbs, I track my macros so I can keep control of what I’m eating, there is literally nothing else to it, and no secrets!

By no means have I been perfect for two years, I have had many many times where I have not been to the gym for weeks, eaten really badly, and just lost all motivation completely for a whole host of reasons, it is not an easy road, and life gets in the way. There is no quick fix to changing your body, not in the long run, unfortunately you have to play a waiting game, have determination, and have patience. Consistency is key to getting results, but its also not the end of the world if you don’t have a great few weeks, don’t hate yourself, and DON’T GIVE UP. By always getting back up, and getting yourself back in the gym, get your diet back on track, you will get results, I promise 🙂

So yeah, by sharing this photo I hope I can give some hope or motivation or inspiration to anyone who is wanting to change their body, and just basically say I know how hard it is, and I understand the struggles everyone goes through! I have been there!!

Here’s to slaying 2017!
