As many people know I am pretty much one of the biggest Gymshark fans there is; they release new pieces, I buy them, so when I found out that Gymshark were doing a pop-up in London for the brand’s 5th birthday, I nearly had a fit, I HAD to go.

Pop-ups are becoming a bigger part of a retailers portfolio, particularly for online only e-tailers like Gymshark, and they are the best way to allow people to actually see the product before they buy, and create some excitement around the brand and their products. Kylie Jenner has done it with her cosmetics, and Converse has also been reintroducing stores into the UK through pop-ups.

The store was on Neal Street in Covent Garden which is such a pretty area of London (clearly a big mistake tying my hair up and then letting it back down again judging by this photo), and there was a bit of a queue to get in which was to be expected, but I only waited about 45/50 minutes so it wasn’t horrendous, and Lex and Lainey were running up and down the queue with gymshark cupcakes and doughnuts so there wasn’t anything not to love really.

Once inside there was a whole range of products on offer, pieces from the exclusive Nikki B collection were there, the pre-release of the red and light grey seamless, and also London exclusive flex sets, which everyone was going mad for!

You could queue up to then meet any of the athletes you wanted to chat to and have a photo with, and loads of the big names were there (NIKKI). I loved getting to meet Grace Beverley (@gracefituk), she is so down to earth and understands the struggles of student life, as well as gym life, and she’s just an all round top egg. I also got to meet Ben Francis, the Gymshark founder, and I can honestly say I’ve never had so much respect for someone, he started the company at the age of 17 and 5 years later it has a multi million pound turnover!

I was on such a high after visiting the store, I just wish I’d have had more money at the time to buy more!! They Will be doing more pop-ups in the future, I’m pretty sure the next one is set for Paris so look out for that, and I would definitely recommend anyone who’s a gymshark fan to go if you get the chance!
Gymshark 4 life guys. Sorry not sorry.
